** Veterans for Trump official statement on Newsmax being dropped from DirecTV **
The pattern established by DirecTV selecting to drop conservative outlets to allegedly reduce costs when left leaning outlets remain on at higher costs, with lower ratings, clearly seems to show discrimination based on political affiliation.
While no federal laws exist that provide protections to employees from workplace discrimination based on political affiliation DirectTV is a publicly traded company. As DirectTV is a public company we call on the DOJ Consumer Protection Branch to investigate this under the FTC unfair trade statutes, we believe a case can be made.
We also call on congress to create new laws relative to political discrimination. We remind congress that this recent development is part of the ongoing larger picture still not addressed. The left is targeting conservative voices and section 230 needs to be repealed / amended so we can litigate against social media to protect our free speech.
