About Me

Vladimir (Vlad) Lemets immigrated from Russia in 2002 and joined US. Army in 2005 at the age of 18. He received his Citizenship in 2006. He is a Combat Veteran who served with 1st Cavalry Division in Iraq during the Operation Iraqi Freedom campaign 2006-2008 and 2009-2010. Vladimir was honorably discharged after his tours of duty in 2010 and served in the Army Reserves until 2013 with 724th Military Police Battalion. Vlad received the Iraq Campaign Medal with three campaign stars, 2 Army Commendation Medals, Meritorious Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and Combat Action Badge.

In June 2015 Vlad helped co-found the national Vets for Trump grassroots organization where he served as Chief Strategist. Vladimir was responsible for helping unite many Veterans for Trump grassroots groups under one banner. Following the 2020 election Vlad was instrumental in re-branding Vets for Trump into Veterans for America First, a 501c4 Civil Liberties organization. In 2021 by unanimous decision, of the executive board of Veterans For America First Vlad Lemets was selected as the organization’s national chairman and appointed as the president. Following his appointment Vlad passed a motion to create the “We Who Served Foundation Inc.”, an apolitical sister organization dedicated to philanthropy in veteran and first responder communities. The effective date of the organization was 23 June, 2021.
