Virginia  Veterans for America First State Chapter President Patrick Collis led a team to East Palestine Ohio to follow up on the community needs, during the aftermath of the toxic spill, said Stan Fitzgerald VFAF National President.

Patrick Collis, newly named president of the VA state chapter, along with vice president Preston Hocker and Kimberly Lowe, a candidate for United States Senate, braved the exposure to the contaminated areas during a recent trip to ground zero.

The VFAF led team met with the EPA, ran water tests, and communicated with the Erin Brockovich firm for their data. The VFAF ream also interviewed residents who wished to remain anonymous.

“A dairy farm owner, who wished to be anonymous, told our team people are afraid to buy their milk because the cows eat the grass,” said Preston Hocker Vice President VA VFAF.

“What we learned on this mission gave us long term concerns,” said Patrick Collis President VA VFAF State Chapter.

Recently Legacy PAC, a political action committee partnered with VFAF National, sponsored a town hall in East Palestine to bring awareness to the long term potential problems.  Angie Wong VFAF national media rep and Legacy PAC president hosted the event with John Fredericks and Steve Bannon. VFAF endorsed Ohio congressional candidate J.R. Majewski attended the town hall to assist in bringing awareness.
